This past week in Pittsburgh, PA Team New Jersey captured the Championship trophy at the America’s Hockey Showcase (formerly Chicago Showcase) thanks in large part to contributions from many members of the Jersey Hitmen organization. The Hitmen are widely regarded as the premier junior hockey organization in New Jersey and their players certainly left everyone in Pittsburgh with no doubts as to why.

This past Sunday was a bittersweet day for the Jersey Hitmen Empire team. On the same day they were eliminated from the playoff race, they officially qualified for the Jr. B National Championships.

In their final series of the regular season the Hitmen traveled to Brewster, NY this past weekend with playoff implications looming. The Hitmen needed just a single win to secure the #2 overall seed in the Western Conference Playoffs, and they certainly made things interesting.

Playing a rare Friday night contest, their only game of the weekend, the Jersey Hitmen dominated the Philadelphia Revolution from the drop of the puck scoring two goals in the first minute of play and cruising to an 8-1 victory. With the win the Hitmen finished their season series against Philly with a record of 3-1-0.
