Playing Background:
Coach Barling played Junior A hockey for the New Hampshire Junior Monarchs of the EJHL (2002 league champions). While playing for the Monarchs coach Barling earned a scholarship to Fairfield University (NCAA Division I). He was also captain for the 2001 New Jersey Titans team that captured the Metropolitan Junior Hockey League playoff title and the bronze medal at the National Championships. He was also a 2 year captain for Team New Jersey Chicago Showcase (2001 semi-finalists). Coach Barling played his youth hockey with the New Jersey Devils Youth Hockey Club from mite through Jr. B appearing in the National Championships as a Bantam Major.

Coaching Background:
Coach Barling has been involved as a volunteer assistant coach with the EJHL Hitmen since they made the move to Wayne three years ago. He has been a Head Coach with the New Jersey Bandits for the past four seasons leading his teams to two Silver Stick Regional Championships in 2005 and 2007. Along with coaching the Bandits, coach Barling was also the Associate Head Coach at Ramsey High School in 2007-08, helping them to a regular season league title and an appearance in the State Semi-Finals, both for the first time in school history. Coach Barling has also served on the staff of the Atlantic District Select Program since 2003, and has been a Special Assistant with Team New Jersey Chicago Showcase (2004 Semi-Finalists, 2006 Champions)
